Float Glass

Clear Float glass is available in a range of thicknesses from 4mm to 19mm, including thick (8 – 12mm) and heavy glass (15 & 19mm).

Low iron and extra-white glasses are made with a low or very low iron content to minimize their absorption properties, therefore letting more light and heat through the glass.

Tinted Float glass is available in a range of thicknesses from 4mm to 10mm in a variety of colours including Grey & Bronze.

Satin glass has been chemically treated to give it a satin rather than glossy finish. It is frequently used for decorative purposes but also to provide privacy.

Mirrored glass is made by the application of a fully reflective metal coating to one side of float glass, which is sealed with a protective layers available in both clear and tinted finishes.

Low-emissivity glass (or low-e glass) is an energy efficient glass which has a coating designed to prevent the heart escaping through windows and reflect interior heat back into the room.

Laminated glass is made of two or more layers of glass with “interlayers” of Poly Vinyl Butyral (PVB) bonded between the glass. Rather than shattering on impact, laminated glass is held together by the interlayer, substantially reducing safety hazards.

Laminated interlayer can also offer enhanced qualities such as sound insulation and acoustic performance. Acoustic Laminated glass is used extensively in the Commercial glazing market.

A chemically treated surface modified glass which incorporates anti slip properties, suitable for stairs or flooring.
